G700 Interior Render

The intent was to push the interior lighting as much as possible and render directly from the Unreal Engine. These renders are Lumen, rendered using the Movie Render Queue. The only additions from pure real-time are that the Temporal samples were bumped up to 16, and there is a simple curves color correction applied in After Effects. Otherwise, it is vanilla real-time Unreal Engine.

Cabin Creator 3.0

Throughout 2024, my team has been tasked with fully overhauling the Cabin Creator application. As the principal architect and primary developer, I was tasked with building a responsive, data-driven backend robust enough to scale as needed, and directing our development and progress to rebuild the application. Our work on this version of the application is nearing completion, our ongoing work primarily consisting of performance and visual enhancements. Since its conception, the application has been directly responsible for millions of dollars in aircraft sales and customer upgrades.

G400 Experience

The G400 Experience app is a marketing application created to showcase the G400 aircraft. It includes a simple interior and exterior configurator, range maps from various key city pairs, and a sidebar walking through the aircraft’s various benefits and advantages. It was built for iOS, using the Unreal Engine.

Cabin Creator 1.0

My team was tasked with creating a tool to help sales showcase interiors for Refurbishment Sales and Design. The experience is a high quality rendition of a G550 interior with functionality that includes changing the floorplan, seating options, and all interior materials. The software used is Unreal Engine and runs on a high-end gaming laptop.

G700 Walkthrough App

There were multiple experiences planned for the G700 Reveal event, including a Kinect experience and an AR walkthrough of the cabin. Unfortunately, budget constraints made it impossible to bring the experiences to fruition at the show. Instead, I was tasked with creating an interior walkthrough app of the new aircraft, with only a 2 1/2 week turnaround. Because of the robustness and ease of use of the Unreal Engine, I was able to meet this deadline and the app was successfully launched at the show. It received high praise from sales and customers alike.

NBAA Refurb Experience

For NBAA 2018 my team created a Cabin Configurator for the G550 and used a Kinect to track a persons movements. The results were then rendered on an 85″ screen in front of the person to simulate what it was like to move around in an actual Gulfstream interior. A tablet was networked into the experience to control the interior options.

NBAA 2017

NBAA 2017 saw our first true mixed reality experience. My team created an interior floorplan configurator to be used in tandem with an actual interior seat. Customers were impressed with the feeling of sitting in the seat and ability to change the floorplans.

My team also helped with multiple other projects headed up by other teams, including asset creation for both a portable cave experience and a VR flight deck experience.

G280 Beyond

G280 Beyond is an AR experience where you are able to explore the G280 aircraft interior, exterior, and specs in AR space. The experience tracks to a physical 3D model of a G280 and the graphics appear on top of and around the model. You can also take a walk through the interior, as well as manipulate the interior features using a basic configurator.
